Description
Studies operation, diagnosis, and repair of clutches, standard transmissions, drivelines, differentials, front-wheel-drive, and four-wheel-drive units. Emphasis is placed on understanding the principles of speed reduction through the use of gearing.

- Demonstrate knowledge of the diagnosis, adjustment, and repair of the clutch system
- Demonstrate knowledge of the diagnosis and operation of the manual transmission and transaxle
- Demonstrate knowledge of the diagnosis and repair of a typical differential assembly
- Demonstrate knowledge of the diagnosis and repair of the four wheel drive and all-wheel drive systems
