Description
Explores the origins and development of the Arab-Israeli conflict, as well as its implications presently. Examines the complexities and dynamism of this conflict through a critical examination of its origins, the actors involved, and the key historical and political factors that have shaped it.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students demonstrate knowledge of the development of distinctive features in the Middle East including its: history, institutions, economy, society, and culture
- Students demonstrate an understanding of factual knowledge about the course of modern Middle Eastern history, leading to an establishment of a frame of reference
- Students demonstrate an understanding and awareness about how and why present political and societal developments are taking place and what the future may hold in store for this region

3 semester hours of history, and EN 101 recommended.
