SUNY Reconnect is a New York State program that helps eligible adults earn an associate degree in selected high-demand fields at little or no cost. At Columbia-Greene Community College, the program covers tuition, mandatory fees, books, and required supplies after all applicable federal and state financial aid has been applied. Housing, transportation, meal plans, and other non-academic expenses are not covered.
To be eligible, students must:
- Be a New York State resident or eligible for in-state tuition;
- Be between the ages of 25 and 55;
- Not already hold a college degree (students may have previously earned college credits, a certificate, or a microcredential);
- Enroll in an approved associate degree program;
- Enroll in at least 6 credits per semester and complete the degree within 10 semesters; and
- Maintain good academic standing and meet all applicable financial aid requirements.
Eligible programs at Columbia-Greene Community College include selected associate degree programs in high-demand fields. Program availability and eligibility requirements are subject to SUNY and New York State guidelines.
