Description
This is the first course in the study of the concepts and procedures of Calculus. Topics include: Limits, The Derivative, Applications of the Derivative, and the Definite Integral.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students will demonstrate the ability to interpret and draw inferences from mathematical models such as formulas, graphs, tables, and schematics
- Students will demonstrate the ability to represent mathematical information symbolically, visually, numerically and verbally
- Students will demonstrate the ability to employ quantitative reasoning using appropriate mathematical techniques to solve problems
Prerequisites
MA 111 with a course grade of C or better within 5 years.
